What we collect, and why.

We use your details to answer a fitment question, take payment through Shopify, and ship the part. We do not sell them.

Effective October 28, 2026. Bimprint, Chicago, Illinois. hello@bimprint.com

1. Who this covers

This policy describes how Bimprint (“we”) handles personal information collected through bimprint.com and by email. It applies to customers, people who request a fitment or a custom part, and people who write to us. It does not describe Shopify’s own handling of payment data. Their policy applies to that processing.

We are the business responsible for the information described here. Contact hello@bimprint.com. We are in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the order or the message needs.

  • Identity and contact: name, email address, and a phone number if you give one.
  • Order details: the parts, quantities, chassis, engine, and any fitment note you type.
  • Shipping: the address you enter at Shopify checkout, and tracking once a carrier has the carton.
  • Payment status: whether Shopify reports the payment as paid, refunded, or failed. We do not receive your full card number, card security code, or full Apple Pay or Shop Pay credential.
  • Messages: the contents of emails and contact-form notes you send us.
  • Cart on this device: the parts you add stay in local storage in your browser until you check out or clear them. That list is not sent to us until you start checkout.

We do not ask for a government ID, a precise location, or biometric information. We do not buy marketing lists.

3. How we use it

We use this information to:

  • confirm the chassis and the part before we print;
  • take payment through Shopify and keep a record of the order;
  • ship the part and handle a defect, a transit claim, or a refund;
  • answer you;
  • keep ordinary business records, including records we need for tax;
  • detect fraud or a chargeback.

We do not use your information to train a public model. We do not send a newsletter unless you ask for one. An order email or a reply to a question you sent is not a newsletter.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with people who need it to do the job:

  • Shopify, which hosts checkout and processes the payment, including Shop Pay and Apple Pay when you choose them.
  • The carrier that delivers the carton, which receives the name, address, and, if required, a phone number.
  • A professional we hire for a specific task, such as an accountant or a lawyer, and only for that task.
  • A buyer of the business, if the studio is sold, under a duty to keep the same limits.
  • A court, a regulator, or a payment network, if the law or a valid legal process requires it, or if we need it to protect the studio against a fraud claim.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not allow a payment processor to use your order to market unrelated products on our behalf.

5. Cookies and the cart

The cart is stored locally in your browser so it is still there if you leave and come back. You can clear it by emptying the cart on the site or by clearing site data in the browser. That storage is not used to follow you across other websites.

Shopify’s checkout sets its own cookies to complete the payment and to reduce fraud. Those cookies are governed by Shopify. We do not run a third-party advertising pixel on this site.

6. How long we keep it

We keep order records, including the name, email, address, parts, and payment status, for as long as we need them for the warranty, for a dispute, and for tax and accounting. That is normally at least four years, and longer if a claim is still open. Fitment emails that never became an order are deleted or stripped of extra detail when they are no longer needed to answer you, and in any case within two years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Shopify keeps payment records under its own schedule. Deleting your message with us does not delete Shopify’s payment record.

7. Your choices

Email hello@bimprint.com from the address you used to order or to write us. You can ask what we still have, ask us to correct a chassis note or a shipping name, or ask us to delete a request. We will delete what we are not required to keep. We will not delete an order record we still need for tax, for a warranty that has not expired, or for a chargeback.

We do not make decisions about you that produce legal effects by automated scoring. Checkout either succeeds at Shopify or it does not.

8. California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know the categories of personal information we collected, the right to request deletion, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of a sale or a share for cross-context advertising. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for that advertising, so there is no sale to opt out of. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 for a sale.

In the last twelve months we collected the categories in section 2: identifiers (name, email), commercial information (the order), and internet activity limited to the cart stored on your own device. We collected them from you, and we disclosed order and shipping details to Shopify and to the carrier for the purposes in section 3.

To use a right, email hello@bimprint.com with the subject “California privacy” and enough detail for us to find the order. We will not discriminate against you for asking. We will verify that the email matches the order before we release or delete anything. You may use an authorized agent if the agent has written permission and we can verify you directly.

9. Children

The site is for people who can buy a car part. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child sent us information, email hello@bimprint.com and we will delete it.

10. Security and where it is stored

Checkout runs on Shopify’s payment page, not on a card form we built. We keep order email in ordinary business mail and records. No method of storage is perfect. If we learn of a breach of information we hold that the law requires us to announce, we will notify the people affected and, where required, the Illinois Attorney General.

We are in the United States. If you write from another country, your information is processed here. International shipping, when we agree to it, means the carrier in that country also receives the delivery details.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. A change does not shrink the limits on an order you already placed.

The terms of sale govern the purchase. This policy governs the information. Questions go to hello@bimprint.com.
