E9x M3 brake cooling kit

About two hours, both sides·Jack and stands, the wheel socket, a trim tool, a screwdriver for the clamps

The box has the left duct, the right duct, two hoses, and two metal clamps. Left and right are different shapes. Do not start the second side with the first duct.

  1. Both ducts and both hoses from the kit

    Step 01

    Lay the kit out

    Two ducts, two hoses, two clamps. One duct is the closed wedge. The other has the round port. Each hose gets one clamp.

    Done when. Nothing is missing before the car comes apart.

  2. Kit ducts and the coiled hoses

    Step 02

    One side

    Wheel off, liner back. Mouth at the bumper opening, small end toward the rotor. Hose on the small end, metal clamp tight. The hose must miss the tire.

    Done when. That side is clamped and clear of the tire.

  3. The two duct shapes in the kit

    Step 03

    The other side

    Same steps with the other duct. It will not match the first opening. That is the point. Clamp the second hose.

    Done when. Both hoses are clamped and both mouths are in the openings.

  4. A pair of M3 ducts with the hoses

    Step 04

    Lock to lock

    Liners back. Wheels on. Torque the bolts on the ground. Turn the wheel both ways. Neither hose touches a tire.

    Done when. Both sides are clear through the full lock.
